Since graduating from Michigan Law School with honors in December 1993, I have helped businesses solve legal problems so that they can get back to whatever it is that makes them profitable.  For the first 15 years, I worked for large law firms and focussed exclusively on high-stakes business litigation.  In 2009, I decided to bring my services to my home community, representing small businesses in and around Somerset County.  I continued handling litigation, but also broadened my practice to include business transactions.

To protect the integretiy of the legal industry, I serve on the District XIII Ethics Committee, which investigates and prosecutes allegations of attorney misconduct in Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties.

I am also a Trustee in the Somerset County Business Partnership, which is the local affiliate of the US Chamber of Commerce.  I currently serve as chair of the Partnerhsip's Legislative Affairs Committee, and sit on the Board of Directors.

I was elected to 4 terms (2007-2019) on the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional Board of Education, including 3 years as president.  I was deeply involved in the District's financial matters, especially union negotiations. 

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and moved to New Jersey in 1999.  I live with my wife, Carrie, and our children, Dennis (born 1997) and Jessica (2001).  In my spare time, I enjoy long bicycle rides, competitive games of Scrabble, and solving crossword puzzles.
